The Translation Commons Localization Group is seeking volunteer vendor managers to test, onboard, and manage our linguistic resources. This remote volunteer opportunity is ideal for those seeking to learn about talent management processes in the localization industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboard linguists (translators, reviewers, language leads).
  • Maintain and update the linguist database.
  • Administer translation tests and liaise with reviewers for grading.
  • Create TMS accounts for new linguists.
  • Coordinate with project managers to meet project-specific needs.
  • Collaborate with marketing/talent teams to source linguists.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all linguistic resource needs.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with databases and spreadsheet programs like Excel.
  • Experience with vendor management or TMS preferred.
  • Weekly commitment of ~5 hours.
