Translation Commons is a nonprofit public charity dedicated to providing a reliable and scalable method for digitally rendering languages. Our mission is to solve the problem of unrepresented languages struggling to participate in a global communications network, and since 2015, we have successfully helped digitize numerous endangered languages.

Position Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Marketing Analyst volunteer to strengthen Translation Commons’ digital strategy. This role focuses on gathering and interpreting online performance data, creating clear reports, and helping the team understand which campaigns drive the most impact. The Marketing Analyst will also research and implement tools that simplify tracking across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect data from Google Analytics, social media, and email marketing platforms.
  • Create monthly reports with clear charts and actionable insights.
  • Highlight what works well and what needs improvement in traffic and engagement.
  • Research and implement a traffic dashboard service (e.g., Google Data Studio, Looker, or similar) to improve reporting efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Content, Traffic, and Design teams to align analysis with campaign goals.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Google Analytics (GA4), social media insights, and email reporting tools.
  • Strong skills in data visualization (Google Data Studio, Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar).
  • Ability to simplify complex data into clear visuals and conclusions.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Interest in languages, digital inclusion, or nonprofit marketing.
