Chatino languages are spoken by about 45K people in Oaxaca, Mexico. They use a variety of tones which have been represented by superscript letters. Another method recently explored is the Acentos fonéticos keyboard, which has 12 tone marks on the top row (example: ê e͆ ē é è ĕ ȅ ẽ ȇ e̋ ě e̊). A user can indicate tone by typing the letter followed by the desired tone mark. The keyboard is based on the Spanish language layout. The Keyman implementation can be used on both desktop/laptop and mobile platforms.
