About Translation Commons
Translation Commons is a nonprofit public charity dedicated to providing a reliable and scalable method for digitally rendering languages. Our mission is to solve the problem of unrepresented languages struggling to participate in a global communications network, and since 2015, we have successfully helped digitize numerous endangered languages.
Position Description
We are seeking a creative and data-driven Advertising Manager volunteer to design and manage online ad campaigns that raise awareness, recruit volunteers, and attract donors. This role involves planning and testing different ad formats, audiences, and platforms to ensure effective results.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage digital advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Write short and effective ad copy and select engaging visuals.
- Test audiences, placements, and formats to find the best-performing combinations.
- Share results and recommendations with the Head of Traffic and wider Marketing Team.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience with Google Ads (incl. Google Ad Grants) and/or social media advertising platforms.
- Ability to write clear, persuasive ad copy.
- Understanding of audience targeting and A/B testing.
- Analytical mindset for reviewing data and optimising campaigns.
- Interest in nonprofit marketing and digital advocacy.
