Position Description
The Translation Commons Localization Group is seeking volunteer reviewers to support global projects that advance linguistic equity and digital access. This is a remote, volunteer opportunity open to both students and professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Review translations for accuracy, quality, and consistency, with guidance from style guide and glossary.
- Use a CAT Tool (Smartcat) for review.
- Flag ambiguous terms for terminology development.
- Provide constructive feedback to translators.
- Communicate with project managers about questions, issues, or delays.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Fluent/native speaker of the target language.
- Good understanding of English as the source language.
- Experience or strong interest in language reviews across diverse content types.
- Ability to commit at least 2 hours per week during assigned projects.
