Position Description
Translation Commons is seeking a talented and passionate UX/UI Designer to join our team as a volunteer. As a UX/UI Designer, you will play a crucial role in improving the user experience of our website. Your first assignment will involve conducting a heuristic analysis of the website to improve user-friendliness and convey our mission and work through our website, creating sitemaps, and designing user flows to enhance usability and navigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a heuristic analysis of the Translation Commons website to identify usability issues and areas for improvement.
- Create comprehensive sitemaps to visualize website structure and hierarchy.
- Design user flows to optimize user journeys and streamline navigation.
- Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices.
- Collaborate with the product and development team to implement design improvements and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Iterate designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing results.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UX/UI design to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
Requirements
- Previous experience in UX/UI design, preferably in web design.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with heuristic analysis, sitemap creation, and user flow design is a plus.
