Position Description
We are looking for a creative, motivated, and service-oriented person to take on the volunteer position of Talent Coordinator. This is a vital, front-line role within our Human Resources function, making you the very first point of contact for new volunteers joining our international organization. Through this remote volunteer opportunity, you’ll gain valuable experience in People and Vendor Management, HR operations, and community engagement within a non-profit focused on languages.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary Function: The Talent Coordinator’s primary function is to provide a welcoming experience, facilitate the initial interview process, and ensure new volunteers are effectively placed within our teams.
- First Contact & Onboarding: Act as the first TC point of contact for new applicants. You’ll lead the Meet & Greet meetings (interviews), welcoming volunteers, listening to their visions and goals, and recording their responses.
- Volunteer Allocation: Manage the allocation of both new and ongoing volunteers to the appropriate teams, guiding them so they can pursue their career goals.
- Administrative Management: Manage TC volunteer signups through the Master Volunteer Google spreadsheet, ensuring all records are promptly and accurately updated.
- Monitoring & Support: Monitor volunteer status (active or inactive) and redirect volunteers from inactive to active teams (coordinating with the Engagement team). You will also field and answer questions, problems, requests, and issues from volunteers.

- Communication & People Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a particular focus on successfully engaging volunteers from diverse intercultural contexts.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify problems and use creativity and initiative to solve them.
- Organization: Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Technical Familiarity: Familiarity with technology, particularly Google Spreadsheet and Google Calendar.
- Motivation: Ability to motivate and inspire volunteers.
- Commitment: A weekly commitment of at least 5 hours is required.
