Position Description
We are currently seeking a motivated and visionary volunteer to serve as Localization Director. This is a remote leadership opportunity ideal for someone passionate about technology, collaboration, and social impact. The Localization Director is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the Localization Team and its ongoing projects, making strategic decisions, implementing overall process frameworks, and advising and mentoring the team. This role requires a deep understanding of localization processes, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive the team towards achieving organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Oversight: Lead and manage the localization team in alignment with the leadership team’s guidance and mission, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Make informed strategic decisions to guide the localization efforts in alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Process Implementation: Develop or refine comprehensive process frameworks to streamline localization activities and improve efficiency.
- Advising and Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that localization efforts are integrated seamlessly into the overall business strategy.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and cultural relevance of localized content.

- Minimum commitment of 5 hours per week, including participation in meetings, planning sessions, and follow-ups.
